A LOS PUEBLOS INDIOS DEL NORTE DEL CONTINENTE AMERICANO: ALASKA, CANADA, ESTADOS UNIDOS Y NORTE DE MEXICO
A LOS PUEBOS INDIOS DE AMERICA Y DEL MUNDO
AL PUEBLO DE MEXICO A LA OTRA CAMPAÑA NACIONAL E INTERNAZIONAL
A LA SOCIEDAD CIVIL NACIONAL E INTERNACIONAL

HERMANAS Y HERMANOS:
Conforme lo acordado por la Comisión Organizadora del ENCUENTRO DE PUEBLOS INDÍGENAS DE AMERICA, que se realizará durante los dí­as 11, 12, 13 y 14 de octubre del presente año, en Ví­cam, Sonora, México, integrada por las Autoridades Tradicionales de la Tribu Yaqui de Ví­cam, el Congreso Nacional Indí­gena, y la Comisión Sexta del EZLN, en que se designa como subsede para la Región Norteamérica: Alaska, Canadá, Estados Unidos y Norte de México, el rancho El Peñasco, en Magdalena, Sonora, México, bajo la responsabilidad de nuestra Tribu Tohono O’Otham (Papago), Deseamos publicar el siguiente:

Siguiendo lo acordado por la Comisión Organizadora del ENCUENTRO DE PUEBLOS INDIGENAS DE AMERICA, integrada por las Autoridades Tradicionales de la Tribu Yaqui de Ví­cam, el Congreso Nacional Indí­gena y la Comisión Sexta del EZLN, queremos comunicarles que el pueblo de la Tribu Tohono O’odham en México, hemos reafirmado las alianzas y reforzado los acuerdos de coordinación para la organización del Encuentro en nuestras tierras.

Lo anterior, con el fin de recibir de la mejor manera a los delegados, representantes e invitados de todo el mundo al Encuentro, donde sin duda lograremos consensos para la constitución de relaciones en todos los niveles, tanto culturales como económicas, sociales y polí­ticas de todos los pueblos indios de América y del Mundo, para resistir unidos y para luchar organizados contra el proyecto neoliberal criminal que nos ha declarado la guerra y por la defensa y reconstrucción de nuestras culturas y de nuestros derechos a nivel regional, nacional, continental y mundial.
Asimismo, ambos pueblos acordamos hacer un atento y respetuoso llamado, en especial a los hermanos y hermanas del norte de América: Alaska, Canadá, Estados Unidos y Norte de México, y en general a los hermanos y hermanas de América y del Mundo, su solidario apoyo material, con el fin de que nos ayuden a solventar nuestras necesidades logí­sticas que nuestro Encuentro requiere.

The above statement is towards receiving the delegates, representatives and invited peoples coming to the gathering from all the World in the best way. Where we will undoubtedly reach a consensus to create realtionships at all levels, cultural as well as economic, social and political of all Indian nations of the Ameritas and the World. To resist and combat the criminal neo-liberal Project that has declared war on us and for the defense and reconstruction of our cultures, our rights at the regional, national, continental and global level.
Whereas, both peoples agree to make a concertad and respectful call, especially to our brothers and sisters of North America: Alaska, Canada, United States and northern México, as well as all our brothers and sisters in America and the World.for their solidary, material support to resolve the logistical needs that the Gathering requires.
